Stephen Rodgers is Pastor and Elder at King’s Way Church. Stephen is married to Heather and they have two daughters Rebecca and Miriam. Stephen is also a GP and practices in North Belfast. He is a keen footballer, squash player and subbuteo player.
Tommy Mearns is an Elder at King’s Way Church. Tommy is married to Ellen and they have three children, Andrew, Victoria and Rachael. Tommy is the Mission Director of Sandes Soldiers’ and Airmen’s Centres in the UK, a Christian outreach to the armed forces. Tommy is a keen golfer.
Ken and his wife Liz are founding members of King’s Way and Ken is currently an elder and chairman of the church’s trustees. They came to Belfast from England in 1969 when Ken was appointed to lecturing post at Queen’s University. He was appointed Professor in 1988 and when he retired in 2008 had been Pro-Vice Chancellor for seven years. Liz spent many years looking after their seven children but later worked for a number of charities, including Life. In retirement she continues to serve the church in a pastoral role (as well as looking after the dustbins) Ken continues to write academic books and is a member of the Board of Belfast Bible College. In his spare time he enjoys gardening and playing with his large collection of toy soldiers.
